In July we had a fabulous time in Asheville, North Carolina, and one of best places we ate was the Tupelo Honey Cafe in downtown Asheville. The website deems them “Asheville’s New South Kitchen.” They serve farm to table cuisine, and everything we had was great! Everything is served on colorful Fiestaware. There’s fried green tomatoes, grit cakes, candied ginger cornbread with whipped peach butter, and homemade biscuits. But our favorite is the sweet potato pancake, topped with butter and spiced pecans. And all kinds of local craft beers on tap. Asheville is known as “Beer City USA.”
Here’s those delicious pancakes:

If you’re ever in Asheville, this is the place to eat!
